Contract
W2 or 1099 contract, typically 3-12 months. Best for surge capacity, migration windows, and known-scope projects.
Contract-to-hire
W2 contract with a conversion-to-FTE clause after a qualifying period (typically 6 months). Best for mutual evaluation before full commitment.
Direct hire
Permanent placement on the client payroll. Best for leadership roles and critical program hires where retention is the priority.
Managed services
We own the runbook. Outcome-based contract where J&S delivers specified work products rather than staffing a named seat.
